Brad Bender

I grew up in Brooklyn and now live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I spent 25 years at Google and DoubleClick helping build and scale media platforms, and now advise mission-driven organizations, serving on the boards of AI-Media, Entravision, and the Classical Theatre of Harlem, while trying (successfully some days, less so others) to spend more time on the creative side of the curtain. I’m not a film person (yet), but I deeply love films and storytelling in all their forms. I’ve performed on New York City stages and am currently an active stage actor in the Bay Area, with recent credits including Fiddler on the Roof and Cabaret. I’m drawn to bold, human stories that expand empathy and take creative risks. I also love travel, skiing, good food, and conversations that start about art and end up somewhere unexpected. At Sundance, I’m excited to meet interesting people, learn shamelessly—and hopefully sneak in a few ski runs between screenings :)

Mickey Falcone

Mickey Falcone is a queer writer from New York. Born to a single mother and bred on a steady diet of Italian working-class staples — Sunday supper, the Yankees, and a never-ending parade of baptisms and funerals — Mickey has enough repression and useless sports trivia to write both comedy and drama. Since then, Mickey has placed in several competitions and fellowships, including the Circle of Confusion Discovery Writers Fellowship, Sundance Collab Cultural Impact Residency, and a mentorship with Issa Rae through LifeWtr Life Unseen Project. In very real and imaginative ways, Mickey’s work explores themes of unlikely bravery, the complexities of grief, and the sometimes-paradoxical nature of God and religion. As a writer, a filmmaker and a student of the craft, Mickey seeks to create spaces of empathy, while elevating queer, trans and non-binary representation in order to move the social outlook from pride to glory. His feature, WRECKLESS, was selected for the 2025 NYU Feature Film Development Studio and will be his debut produced work under the guidance of Catherine Hardwicke.

I've known Jenny 8 for over 30 years, but this is my first time at Sundance; I'm here with my awesome partner Rae. Always ready to geek out about housing policy and always looking for impact investors. Vegetarian and anti-car.
